Every bite reveals the aroma of genuine ingredients, and the story of this generation.

Here, bread is the story of our generation.

Why do I want to stay in Maolin ? and not in a city?

Through bread, I connect the people of my community and ingredients. Every kernel of Formosan quinoa is nourished on this land.

Every loaf of bread comes with the blessings of the Rukai people of Maolin.

In each person’s hands are placed .

-

Precious ingredients from this community’s elders.

For every loaf of bread,  I select an aroma of this community.

There is a story of Rukai fragrant sachets.

When in the mountains searching for prey, hunters gathered aromatic fruits.  Upon returning home, they produced fragrant sachets for their special someone.

Some ingredients are from as far away as France.

Only the wheat flavor of French flour ,

can support the spices of the Rukai people.

What is the meaning of Svongvong?

It means butterfly in the indigenous Rukai language

Rukai males who were worthy displayed the butterfly motif  as a symbol of their exquisite craftsmanship.

My shop is there ? at the entrance to Maolin.
